Hello dear parents,
The Mont-Tremblant Ski Club is once again organizing a selection process for young racers wishing to join the Race Club. Given the limited number of places available, we are obliged to make selections.
Two objectives govern us
-Select youth with competitive skills and development potential;
-Make the selection process a constructive learning tool for young racers.
The evaluation will be carried out in several stages:
1-Ongoing ski evaluation at a 3-day camp (2 mandatory days) 5-6-7 April 2019
Assessment of skiing skills in various situations and terrain
-Basic technique;
-Athletic quality in skiing;
-Decision making ;
-Competitive skills / motivation / effort
2-Physical tests at multisport field (St-Jovite) (date to be determined)
Assessment of physical abilities such as:
-Physical endurance;
-Speed of movement;
B-alance, coordination and flexibility.
Final selections will be announced by email to parents one week after the final selection step.
In the case of non-selection, a detailed and explanatory letter will be sent to the parents.
We sincerely hope that this selection process will be constructive for all young racers interested in the Mont-Tremblant Ski Club.
